Description

The Merlion Tower has the iconic half-fish half-lion mythical creature. It was built at the Singapore River back in 1972. It was designed by Alec Fraser-Brunner and it is an official emblem for the Singapore Tourist Promotion Board since 1964. The Merlion Tower is a must-visit to see this majestic national icon spouting water in the background of your holiday picture. This will be your souvenir picture of the Singapore holiday, with the 8.6 metres tall sculpture in a magnificent backdrop of The Fullerton Hotel and the Raffles Place skyline. The viewing deck of the Merlion Tower is a must visit as well. It faces the famous Marina Bay.
